password protecting internet explorer

I was given the task of password protecting internet
access on XP pro. Is there a way I can do this in XP or
will I need to use a different app. If there is a way to
do this in XP....How????

Given the task by whom? In other words, in what kind of environment? I'd
suggest very different things for home use than I would for a corporate XP
deployment.
