Hi,
I downloaded and installed service pack 2 for windows
xp pro on my toshiba satellite pro 6100 series laptop. IT
has P4M 2GHz processor with 512MB RAM. It was working
fine before the installation of SP2. But after the
installation now whenever my computer starts, atleast
twice screen disappears (turns blank) and comes back. The
usual processes are running because if i type my user
password and hit enter even when the screen has
disappeared, it logs me in. Anyone had this problem?
thanx for the help.

All that means is thoses patches will be part of SP2 when it is released.
SP means Service Pack, which is a collection of patches and fixes.
Notice the last entry? "Windows XP Service Pack 1a"?
When you finally do add SP2, that is what you will see, not the indevidule
components.

I can't help you with your problem specifically, but it's a good idea to
create a restore point before you do any program updates. That way, you can
just go back to where you were before if something goes wrong. :)
