Problems installing Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer (818529)

My installing history shows the patch applied(several times), both on
the web and automatically updated. Windows seemingly is up-to-date. My
problem is every-time I check for updates I see the patch as
unapplied, viewing my installing history confirms that it should be
applied!? Can someone please help me resolve this problem. TIA

OS: WindowsXP Professional, sp-1
Firewall: Zonealarm
Anti-virus: AVG 6.0 free

I downloaded and installed it manually.
I tried disabling my AV and Firewall

I figured out the problem myself. "I uninstalled previous patches and
enabled access to outlook express via advance security tag". "I
recommend enabling any windows[xp] security features you might have
disable".
