Hi, I'm not really in any kind of tiff here, but I do
have a little question. Is there any way i can see
exactly what system resore backs up? Or is there any way
I can protect specific folders and programs from system
restore? A while back I did a restore cause of some
strange problem, my problm was fixed, but a bunch of my
folders were all messed up and I had to manually put the
back in order so that my programs would work and so that
they'd be where I wanted them. I had moved a program
folder (and fixed shortcuts of course) from my C: to my
F: and later the same day my taskbar messed up and I was
forced to do a system restore to correct the problem. My
folder changed were gone, and my shortcuts were in a
mess. Some files were put back on C:, folders were
created for programs I had uninstalled, and also some of
the programs I uninstalled that day still remain in my
add/remove programs list, but if it try to unintall, it
says it cant run setup or some si,ilar error that might
result from the program not being there. Anyways, back
to my question, can I disable system restore on specific
folders rather then on a whole drive?
