user account password locki but not for start

I wanted to know if it was possible to use my computer so
that there was no need to enter a password to log on,
i.e. switch it on and not have to touch anything for it
to load my desktop, but still password protect my
account, so that i can lock the worstation, with a
password?

Start -> run -> control userpasswords2

Uncheck "Users must enter a name and password to use this computer"
Enter the correct settings (Name, Password)

Then lock the computer normally
