backup with autoloader dds-4 tape drive

Can the Backup utility embedded in WinXP-Pro utilize an
autoloader dds-4 tape drive?

If so, could someone point out some reference material or
give me some instructions on operations. I can find none.

Autoloaders usually require special control features,
beyond just having the correct driver.
While I have not revisited this recently, previously
the built-in NTbackup did not have the needed
support, and one had to go to the full retail version
or an alternate vendor's backup product.
