Hi,
Just tried to install a dvd and I get nothing just a please install cd in
drive pop up!
The drive ( sata) is fine as it shows up on start up and will boot from the
win 7 install disc no problem.
It also works for me on my other (dual boot) hd which runs win vista
ultimate!!
Any body got some clue as to what's amiss?
tia.
Stuart.

Well in reply to my own post - - - I got it sorted after spending half the
night checking and restoring etc :(
It was down to the &%$&*£ virus checker!!!
It had somehow re-set itself to prevent any files being introduced onto the
system and that had stopped the DVD activity!
Talk about elementary. Anyway its maybe worth noting for any other poor soul
in similar difficulties :)
