Hi Windows XP,
Here is a puzzling problem.
Prior to this week, several different clients with Windows
XP and Flash installed could view Flash websites from IE 6.
Suddenly this week, with no apparent reason or software
changes...
They get a blank white box where Flash is supposed to be.
Then can not access the Flash menus on the Macromedia site,
nor do javascript redirects in the html code to non-Flash
pages work.
They can not get Flash to install, either from the Flash
auto-install page on Macromedia's site or from a downloaded
..exe installer (the installer confirms installation, but
Flash still does not work).
WAIT!! Before you think "security settings"...
All Internet Security tabs in IE are set to "Prompt" or
"Allow".
They have not changed their settings, and could view the
sites last week with no trouble.
I am very frustrated. Any platform not running Windows XP
has no problem viewing Flash sites or installing Flash plugins.
What is going on? Please help.
Thank you,
Deborah
