Hi. I tried a search for this topic and came up with
nothing, so I thought I'd post a question to all you XP
pro's out there.
I keep finding a file called Thumbs.db in various
places. I've deleted all instances, but they keep coming
back. Is Windows creating these files? Does they have
something to do with Thumbnail folder viewing? Is there
any harm in these files, or should I just leave them
alone?
Thanks,
Mike

Yes, this is the file that contains the thumbnail view data. Its created
dynamically. If you're running XP Pro, you can turn this feature off. In
Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options, View and uncheck Cache
Thumbnails. You may need to log off/log on for the change to take effect.
