I don't really see where the saving is here. Surely the Segate is
powered by USB if it's portable and this will be provided with it. And a
pouch can be picked up for just a few quid on eBay or something. It
doesn't seem to me you are getting anything that's worth the extra 8 quid.

I'd buy a (commodity) Seagate over a (commodity) Toshiba HD
anyday.

But, who knows.......reading the reviews of the Seagate
Expansion Drives.....

http://www.seagate.com/www/en-
us/products/external/expansion/expansion_desktop#tTabContentRe
views

........reading reviews is a hit-n-miss anyway. I'm sure a lot
of bad reviews are PEBCAK errors......

or ..."yes, seagate expansion drives are great for data
storage and everything...but the only thing that is very
disappointing about it is its thin cover. not that i mean it's
simple or anything but just a while ago, my drive SLIPPED FROM
MY HAND and FELL. and now, i have to FORMAT and ERASE
EVERYTHING for it to work again...can someone do something
about this? you know, upgrade the cover so that files could
still be available even if it fell or something...upgrading it
with a harder cover would be so much useful....i'm sorry i
cannot fully express what i really want to express, i'm not
that good in english...but i hope you get what i mean and do
something about this...now do i really have to format my drive
so that it could work again? :/"......

....he gave it a low score because it didn't work after he
dropped it ?

89% of reviewers said they'd recommend this to others.

Thanks for that. I have bought Segate Expansion 500GB and I have every
confidence in it.
