Services: Workstation

ok i need the service workstation to be running
everytime i start it i get an error message:

Could not start the Workstation service on Local Computer
Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has
been marked for deletion.
--------------------------------------------
however when i go to the properties page and look at
dependencies it shows that it doesnt depend on anything
but mulitple services rely on it.
any fixes would be nice.

Did you once have Symantec software installed on your computer? The
Workstation is dependent upon Symantec Event Manager once you
install the Symantec software.
