I recently upgraded to XP and need to configure Windows Explorer so that the
default drive is H:. Under NT 4.0 I used the options /e/root,H:\ in the
command line on my desk top shortcut. I tried this on my shortcut in XP but
I received and error message "The path...does not exist" when I tried to
launch Explorer. (The value Target: on the Shortcut tab of Windows Explorer
Properties reads: %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe). How do I configure Explorer
to highlight the H: drive when I launch it from the shortcut.

Thanks,

Ned

Explorer /e,H:

I have an H drive and this opened fine on my XP box, if it doesn't work for
you try Explorer /e,C:\Windows perhaps there are restritions on your H drive
that are preventing this command. Make sure you add the ':" at the end when
only specifying a drive and not a directory.
