Nick --

Visit the support website of the manufacturer of your computer or video =
card.
Search for the latest Windows XP compatible video adapter drivers.
Download and install them in accordance with the installation =
instructions.
Also, you need to install the appropriate drivers for your monitor.

Afterward, right-click on your Desktop and select:
Properties > Setting and adjust your Screen Resolution
settings, then select "Highest (32 bit) Color Quality setting,
and click "apply".

Ummm,
Just a thought , but you have checked some naughty person hasn't inverted
your monitor as a joke haven't you?
Used to be popular at our school. That and the ghost mouse.
But we won't go there.

I just this minute discovered on my new NVidia card a feature called
'rotation' settings - including presets for 90, 270 and - yes, 180- degrees.
Can't think why - its very un-nerving. Is it some kind of graphic designer
thing?.
Check if you have NVidia media centre installed, and you can switch back to
normal view from there.
There may be an icon in the taskbar to right click for the menu.
Hope this helps
