file deletion

I have downloaded number of .wmv files in 'temporary
internet files' folder. To delete, I tried 'cleanup disk'
process and internet options -->temporary internet files -
-> delete files (including all offline content), but
failed to clear. Because, is it read-only files? The size
of files, near 3 GB, makes me impaitient to clean it.
Please help to clean it.

Just delete them yourself goto C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files and delete the files.

Thank you your suggestion.
I did it too, but still cannot delete it.
The process I mentioned earlier is including your
suggeted deletion and more, however the result is same.
I still need solutionh for this problem.

Boot into Safe Mode and try deleting them fro their.
