Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Service Teminated Unexpectedly.

Hi,
I am running Windows XP-Home edition. Oflate Iam getting
a message which says, "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Service Teminated Unexpectedly.". And now the system
reboots. The error id was 7031 and Source is Service
Control Message.

I found that there is a fix for windows 2000 for this id
7031. Can I apply the same to my OS which is Windows XP
Home Edition. Can anyone clarify?
