Hi,
I have a file on a CD (backup) that contains French=20
characters (accent).
With Win98 I have no problem copying/renaming and opening=20
the file.
With NT/2000/XP, I cannot open/copy or rename the file.
1) While attemting to open with MS Word, I get:
Microsoft Word
This file could not be found.
Try one or more of the following:
* Check the spelling of the name of the document.
* Try a different file name.
(E:\...\GOUVERNEMENT DU QU=C9BEC.DOC)
=09
OK
2) While trying to copy into the hard disk, I get
Error Copying File or Folder
Cannot copy file: Cannot read from the source file or=20
disk.
OK
I presume it's related to the file system of NT (2000/XP)=20
and foreign character handling but don't know how to fix=20
the problem.=20
Is there a patch for this problem?
Thanks in advance for any hints,
S.
