Is there someone who can tell me how I can make a shortcut of an
installed program (found on the startmenu) to the desktop?

There are a number of ways to do this. One way is to right click on the
one you want on the desktop and choose open file location. Now right
click and hold down the click and drag it to the desktop. And select
create a shortcut.

As Bill noted a variety of routes are available to accomplish adding a shortcut to the Desktop

Another similar route without a drag and drop
Rt click on the shortcut on the Win8 Modern UI Start Screen (fka Metro) to reveal the StartScreen tool bar, click on 'Open File
Location', rt click the shortcut and scroll down to SendTo and select Desktop (Create Shortcut).
- Note: SendTo/Desktop (Create shortcut) is identical and a carryover from earlier Windows o/s.

Optionally if you know the location of the program's executable (normally in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86)...like
above, rt click the executable and use the SendTo Desktop (Create shortcut) option.
