Simple question: how do I boot from a CD using Windows XP
(Home Edition)? I've gone to the Knowledge Base section
at MS and I get 25,000 arcane articles. All I want to
know is what function key (or other key) I need to hit at
startup to get it to boot from the CD instead of from the
hard disk? Thanks.

Greetings --

Since you haven't bothered to tell what specific brand/model PC
you have, or what specific BIOS it uses, we can't answer your
question. I'm afraid you'll have to resort to the old fashioned
method of looking it up in the manual that came with your computer.

When you boot, hit delete and see if you can change the boot order to CD
before hard drive. If your machine is old enough, it may not be possible
and you will need to create a boot disk to get dos and then run the setup
from the CD.

Have fun
