Of course now the biggest issue is trying to get the
update downloaded before the PC shuts down due to the
very error you are trying to fix!!

It seems the worm puts a file in the registry to startup. try removing it,
and then see if you can at least get online long enough to download the
Microsoft RPC patch, and any virus updates you might need.

try enabling the Firewall from within Windows Should keep
you online long enought to download the update
