My computer is running Windows XP (Home Edition) with
both SpyBot and Pest Patrol doing periodic system scans.
My problem: SpyBot consistantly turns up a malware
called Dy Fuca, about 8 entries, on my registry. No
matter how many times SpyBot deletes theses items, they
reinvent themselves somehow and turn up again and again.
The same for Pest Patrol pest MoneyTree (for some reason
Pest Patrol does not pick up the pest that SpyBot does.
SpyBot has a feature that takes you to the location of
the pest in the registry. As a novice I am hesitant to
delete/or even touch the registry. The location I speak
of is: HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG
Software
Systems
Current Control Set
Enum
PCI
VEN_8086&DEV_10398&SUBSYS_1049107B&REV_81
There are other sub items below this having to do with
sound, vidio etc.
My question is: is it safe for me to delete the above
from my registry? and will this stop the pest from
rebirth?
Thank you for your interest
