I have an XP Pro SP1 client and I am trying to browse my
Win2000 Advanced Server using My Network Places. It will
not use my user ID and Password (it hangs for a few
minutes then asks for a username and password), but if I
put in the server's IP address\user name and password it
works. I can also use just the system administrator user
name and password with out putting in an IP address, that
will work. I am running Active Directory in Native mode
and I have DNS set up and my LinkSys router supplies my
DHCP.
I am new to this so it might be an easy fix, any
suggestions on what I am doing wrong would be greatly
appreciated.
