View Full Version : UPDATE on PDF-Creator

July 14th 15, 04:46 AM
Since PDF-Creator would not work, I decided to remove it. I went to
CONTROL PANEL > ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. It was not listed.
I went to PROGRAM FILES > PDF CREATOR. (I copied the files to a flash
drive just in case there was a problem. Then I clicked on UNINSTALL.EXE.
Absolutely nothing happened. In that folder there was also a file called
SETUP.EXE. I clicked on it, it installed PDF-Creator.

I opened Word for Windows 2003. Opened one of my .RTF files, and clicked
on PRINT. I selected PDF-Creator, typed in a filename.PDF, and a PDF
file was created. The PDF works fine.....

I'm still scratching my head, but the program was obviously not
installed, but must have been at one time. And the PDF-CREATOR folder
had the (Installer) in it!

Strange things happen . . . . .

It works, so I'm smiling!

This sounds like the folder was copied from a different system but not
installed.

I suppose that's possible, but because it was given as an option in MS
Word 2003 in "PRINT", I would think that it was once installed? (I
guess)???

Apparently this is an AD-Free version, because there are no ads popping
up (thankfully), and the whole package of intaller files is about 11
megs, (7.7 megs ZIPPED), whereas to download it from their website was
close to 30 megs. (I suppose the remaining 19 megs is all the
advertising crap).
