Deleting Temporary Internet Files folder?

I found plenty of webpages that say it's okay to delete temporary
internet files, but none about deleting the whole folder, that is, the
folder and everything in it.

May I? Will Windows recreate it if it's missing?

The reason I ask is that when making backup copies, by omission, I
copied over all the temp-int-files, and it woudl be far far easier to
delete them in the 2 or 3 backup copies if I can just delete the whole
folder, which somehow occurs 6 times (well, different personas).

But someday I may need a backup to be my main partition, and if the
empty folder is necessary, I don't want to delete them.

Thanks

Why not

1) Run Ccleaner first, to clean out temporary folders
of one type or another.
2) Do your script.

Because what you propose, is a kind of "cleaning"
implemented by yourself. Why not use "cleaning knowledge"
available from others for free ?

Well, I'm just worried. They're in the
Windows/system32/config/systemprofie/localsettings folder, and also in
the "Documents and Settings" "local settings" for every persona.

That's why I asked you!
