It might clear itself by the time I post
this but for the last day and a half I
haven;t been able to sign in to eBay.

It acts like its loading the page but
just cycles like in a loop.

It's been working ok for me.
Although I don't know why they think I need a new burner for a Tappan gas range.

Clear your browser cache and then try again to see if it works. I don't
use ebay nor have I used before but such problems are due to something
corrupted in the cache folder.

You didn't say so but I assume you are using a browser on a WindowsXP PC. If
you were using a smartphone, I would tell you to reboot in order to clear
cache memory. It always works for me.

The last article here, suggests that www.ebay.com
may have been entered as a Trusted Site. Perhaps
if it isn't Trusted, it asks for the login credentials ?

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie9-windows_vista/my-ebay-login-loops-back-to-login/c51a4fea-125d-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5?auth=1

One person in that thread, claims to see an error
message which stays in the browser window for a very
short time (like, one frame time). To read the
error message, you might need to use a screen recorder
(or a camera set to record video).

Since logins are protected by https,
I don't have any debugging tricks for this.
Even if you used a packet sniffer, there
would be "nothing intelligible to see".
