XP on an ASUS X200m?

I was given an Asus X200M tablet without the hard drive. I did the
BIOS upgrade so it would boot the CD and tried to load WP on it. No
Joy!

I keep getting messages saying ACPI crashed and I can't get around it

I did get a message about some F6 and F7 sequence to get around ACPI
errors but the next time I booted it the messages were different and I
never saw that again
There is no reference to ACPI in the BIOS

Any ideas?
