Change WinXP keyboard capslock key to F3 (next) key?

Like half the world, I hate the capslock key so, long ago, I disabled it by
adding a new registry binary string as explained all over the net:

But like half the world, I use the "Find" and "Search" capability of "F3"
(next), which requires me to look at the keyboard to figure out which is
the F3 key (whereas the now-useless capslock key is right next to my
pinkie).

So, all I want to know is how to remap the capslock key to the F3 key.

I don't hate it, though the number of times I actually use it for its
intended purpose is minimal (though useful when I do). However, I _did_
find it irritating that it was so easy to hit it by mistake, without
noticing that I'd done so. So I turned on toggle keys (it's in control
panel under accessibility); that now makes a little tone whenever I
change the state of any of the lock keys (different for on [high] and
off [low]), so I know when I've hit it by mistake. I think this is a
much-unknown feature, probably because it's tucked away there under
Accessibility.

I installed sharpkeys into c:\test\apps\keyboard\sharpkeys which seemed to
notice that I had already mapped the capslock key to nothing.

Then I was able to map 00 3D to 00 3A but that didn't work.

So I switched it around (which seemed illogical) but it worked!

Thank you for that suggestion of using sharpkeys.

Now my capslock key is the "next" key after a F3 search!
