Ex-Virus

I deleted a Ganda virus completely that entered via
Trojan horse...now, former products(MS Word, etc) will
not load, nor will the XP upgrade read the original ME
discs. I don't want to expunge XP, reinstall ME, then
upgrade again :(. Any suggestions?
