First impression: Dislike search box on taskbar. If I choose show icon, it goes
over taskbar, hidding taskbar buttons. Did unpin all apps tiles from start menu,
now start menu don't resize as build 9879 did.

Technical Preview on VMware player. This page looks like the new dual boot menu
but I don't understand what's Windows Rollback. Could it be an option to return
to previous build? I did cleanup windows.old folder, so I think I can't do
rollback. What's your opinion?

Hi Joel, I accidentally hit Rollback when I went to reboot and sure as
Hell it rolled back to previous build, And now I can't find a way to
boot back into the new build!!! looks like I may have to D/L the new
build and start over. Next time I am going to remove that option from
boot menu before I screw up Again.

I received an update shortly after the upgrade, and now the Search box is
gone from the Start menu. I still have the Search icon on the task bar, and
that's much better IMO.

Click on "All apps" on the bottom of the Start menu. On the next page is
Admin Tools (or at least it is on mine).

I'm thinking the same thing. Not too impressed with the changes overall. I
was getting to like the last build. The new build wiped all of my custom
settings and restores all the big tiles to the Start menu. And even that has
changed now to how the rest of the programs/apps are shown. Plus there
doesn't seem to be a way to display the tiles like Win8 (for those that
liked them).

And I take back what I posted earlier on the Search box- it's baaack :-(

Well, after a reboot, the Search box is gone again. But it does come back to
stay (until the next reboot) after I click on the Search icon on the
taskbar.

I deleted the Rollback entry using msconfig. No more menu choices :-)

Uninstall option when booting up Windows 10 Technical Preview

After installing this build, you may see a boot selection menu each time
you reboot your PC. This is because a second boot option has been added
for uninstalling the Windows 10 Technical Preview.

================================================== =====================

When you get to this screen, if you do nothing, it will automatically
boot to the Windows 10 Technical Preview within 30 seconds by default
(which you can modify) or you can choose it on your own. If you feel the
need, you can choose to uninstall Tech Preview through this boot
selection screen to get back up and running. Don’t worry, this behavior
is only temporary. In future builds, you’ll be able to uninstall through
the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).

If you would like to remove the uninstall option from the boot up
experience:

1.From the Start menu or the Search icon, search for cmd

2.Press-and-hold or right-click Command Prompt from the search results
and select Run as administrator

3.Type bcdedit /timeout 0 at the command prompt and hit ENTER

You can get the uninstall option back in the boot menu by following these
steps again, but change the timeout value to something between 1 and 30,
instead of zero.

Hello, I forgot administrative tools are in control panel. My start menu doesn't
bring admin tools.
