Any ideas -- anyone

I do not want OneDrive and I don't want to be prompted to sign on every
time I boot up.

The program cannot be uninstalled as far as I can see

Apologies, not very well phrased by me. Should have started with the
word "do". :)

Can you disable it via Task Manager? (Startup tab).

Yes, but only until you reboot and the prompt is back again

Yes, but this adds about 40 seconds to the computer boot up time.

Found this on utube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TZ1P1GqHts

It works but I still get a pop up wanting me to open a Microsoft Account
so that I can use One Drive

Using both of these methods together seems to stop the pop ups but
still adds about 40 seconds to the computer start up time.

That second one (the popup) is just a Notification. You should be able
to dismiss that "'X' it" - and it should go, forever. ?

Seems strange that the OneDrive service is re-enabling itself. Not
happenning for me...
http://1drv.ms/1FVNabg

Local Account, installed CrapCleaner (included in the screenshot) that
shows it's also (still) disabled - and no notification popping up.

The popup now seems to have disappeared after rebooting a number of
times. However One drive is still in File explorer and clicking on it
causes the popup to appear again so it is still around.

Win 10 is supposed to be released in a few months but my thoughts are
that there is a lot of work to do before it could even be called a beta
version. eg what is

TrayItem.{D536BE64-0412-1167-2713-B63D6597D325}

which appears in the menu

Come on Microsoft get it right before releasing it on to the users
