It skipped from 10041 directly to 10061. So, I did not have to
install all the interim releases. I am at 18% now.

I lost a few customizations. Wish they could get this act in gear. Oh well. The menu will resize now. That's a plus.

Hi Al,

I am at 35% now. Snore. I wish they would take a tip
from Linux and only update what was changed.

I had to wipe and reinstall 10041. Lost a few icon, but
that is all part of the learning. My favorite two
are Power Off and Windows Update.

I haven't reinstalled Bit Defender yet. Maybe I won't.
Possibly, I will install Firefox in the future. I should
possibly install Libre Office to see what customers are
going to see. Kaspersky doesn't seen to have anything to
test yet.

I resized the menu by grabbing an edge and making it smaller. However this
displaced all the items to the right, and made the All Apps list fail to
display. A reboot fixed it and returned it to the original size.

Rather, it was in 10049 and is in 10061 with improvements.

Have they updated the .iso yet? Last time I looked it was several
versions old. I got sick of waiting for the last update (eight hours and
nowhere near done) and deleted everything, so I'm waiting for a newer
..iso to start again in a new VM.

You're right. 10049. I wish they had improved some timeout features of it. I run Windows 10 on an external USB
drive and thus get a bit more sluggish system. And that sluggishness shows up when launching Spartan and it times out
and closes. Event logs show errors supporting this. If I wait for all drive activity to stop meaning 10 is not
busy, I can then launch Spartan. But they have some stupid demand that says X has to load in so many seconds or they
assume an error and shut down.

Was not on mine, had to pin it and now is OK. BTW total time to download
and install 0061 was 2 hours and 6 minutes.

Had it on mine, but unpinned it :-) Not too crazy about it. I'd rather use
Firefox.

Mine was 90 minutes from start to finish, but I think part of that was
because I was using wireless and not my wired network.

Those BUZZARDS are still on 10041. But, if yo wipe and reinstall
10041, Fast Track will jump you straight to 10061. Not ideal,
but we are dealing with M$ and it is the best to be expected.

Judging by the file name, the download I was trying here is still
version 9926.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/preview-iso

Maybe the file name is wrong
(Windows10_TechnicalPreview_x64_EN-GB_9926.iso), or perhaps I'm on the
wrong site?

Windows10_TechnicalPreview_x64_EN-US_10041.iso

So you want to look for one of those.

And Google sez it's here.

Thanks Paul & T - I see the problem now. I'm looking for an en-uk
version - obviously only the en-us has been updated. That will do just
fine - I can alter settings where needed.
