Anyone use DoNotSpy10?

http://pxc-coding.com/portfolio/donotspy10/

Seems ideal. Even has a place to disable automatic updates.

If it does contain malware, the person that wrote it, should remove it,
make it right, and sell it instead of giving it away. He could be as
rich a Bill Gates.

By the way, I just found out that anyone that uses AT@T for an ISP can
download a free McAfee Elite security suite that contains a firewall.
It can be installed on four different computers.

http://att.com/SurfSmart

I just installed it in Windows 10, and it lets me know when any program
in Windows 10 tries to access the Internet. I have been blocking them
so far.

From my open.DNS:
This domain is blocked due to a phishing threat.
pxc-coding.com
Phishing is a fraudulent attempt to get you to provide personal
information under false pretenses.

McAfee's stuff really stinks.

If you are going for free, use Bit Defenders free edition.
They score in the top two of av-comparatives.org (Kaspersky
is the other one, but it is not free).

I sent the thing to Kaspersky's New Virus for analysis. I
will report back

According to AT&T it's valued at sixty dollars. It is only available
for their U-verse high speed internet customers.

I like it for the firewall.

I have two other computers hooked to the router, one by cable and one
by WiFi. It picked up those immediately, identified them as Linux
computers, and gave me the names of the computers.

It also gives you control of which programs can access the Internet.

When I do internal penetration test for PCI (credit card security),
I found all Windows Firewalls leaked. It is a Windows design.
If you want stealth, you need real hardware firewall or
run Windows through a two port firewall on your Linux machine.
I run my office this way

I even caught a flaw in one of Kaspersky's firewall, where the off
setting was on and the on setting was off. Kaspersky fix it in
short order. (And, I am not saying which product I found this on.).

The word from Bleeping Computers is that DoNotSpy10 comes with
Open Candy.

Anyone know of a clean version of something like this?

Linux Mint is my operating system, I'm just playing with Window 10, and
when I get tired of it, it will be gone.

I like to keep up with what's going on with Windows, because I know
other people that use it.

Great link!

I am going to make a copy of my SOF (W10) virtual drive, then
try installing DoNotSpy10 and see it there is a customer installation
feature to nix the spyware.

And, even if you turn everything you can find off and use Customer
Install, you still wind up with "Web Search Bar".

I am going to erase the test vm and stay the h*** away from this
abomination.
