I had the same problem, I found a fix here :-

I used the registry fix, worked perfectly.

It's also possible the old Microsoft UpperFilter Fixit
would work. For those who are adverse to using Regedit.

http://blogs.technet.com/b/fixit4me/archive/2009/03/18/delete-lower-upper-filters-for-cd-devices-fix-it-live.aspx

Unfortunately, no Win10 specific one is shown. There
is one for Win8.1, but it will likely quit when it
does an OS version check.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/314060

You can also check the Troubleshooting control panel
in Win10, for an optical drive related troubleshooter.
Could well do the same thing as above. OK, I checked
in there, and there isn't a Fixit of that type.

So you really are left with Regedit, unless
the Win8.1 Fixit in 314060 will work.
