View Full Version : Anyone ever heard of TFTP3496

When booting my computer, I get a message "Windows cannot
open this file TFTP3496. To open this file, Windows
needs to know what program created it. Windows can go
online to look it up automatically, or you can manually
select from a list of programs on your computer. What do
you want to do?"

Any ideas what this program does, or how to fix this
error? With all of the virus trash floating around, I am
trying to be cautious.

Thanks!

Hi, David.

Good! If you'll read a few messages here today - or read your newspaper or
listen to the radio or TV - you'll learn that there's a new virus attack
called MSBlast that's sweeping the world today. One symptom is TFTP files.
If you had visited Windows Update since the fix appeared there last month,
this probably would not be a problem for you.

For "What do I do now, Coach?" instructions, see this URL:
