I recently upgraded my Windows Me to XP Pro. After considerable work to get
it to run at all which included removing all installed programs and finally
trying the conversion to NTSF file system on installation of XP Pro, I
finally sorted out what appeared to be the problem with the S3 Video Card
(Savage 4) and now have it running.
I then reinstalled programs which included Netscape 7.1. After what appears
to be a successful installation, the two components, browser and email, do
not work. I have been through the troubleshooter and have been unable to
get it to run. Double clicking the icon get a momentary hourglass and if I
throttle it down to Win 95 (w/ compatability) I get it to actually flicker
the screen for a second or so as it attemps to run.
My attemps include the Set Programs Access and Defaults.
Any ideas on why it won't run?
