I am receiving a WIN32 error message then my computer
shuts down. What is this and how do I get rid of it?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, Elizabeth.

The obvious question: WHICH "WIN32 error message"? There are several
different ones and we can't help you much without more detail. At what
point do you see the message? What program(s) is running at the time?
Stuff like that.

Before your next post, go to System Properties | Advanced | Startup and
Recovery Settings and remove the check from the Automatically restart box
under System failure. Next time, instead of shutting down, your computer
should stop with a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) full of cryptic codes. That
seemingly meaningless garbage means a lot to those gurus (not me!) who know
how to read it. You'll have plenty of time to copy down the entire message
before you push the Reset button. Post all that in your next message and
somebody here should be able to point you in the right direction.
