Why are so many people asking about 32 or 64 bit system?

Yes. It is part of the new RPC worm (virus) that is going
around. Many people are going through the cleanup
procedure and it asks to download a certain patch if you
have 32 bit and a different patch for 64 bit.

Most people will be using 32 bit.
