Can I ask a dumb question? How do you search for=20
something here? I am new here and don't know how to get=20
around.

Well, sure, you can ask a dumb question, go ahead. It is so nice to see
people asking _first_. For example, there's been an incredible number of
posts about the worm currently circulating around the world of XP and
related OSes, mainly because no one bothers to search first to see if
the information is already posted. Had they searched, we'd likely have a
great reduction in the number of messages, some of which are horribly
misleading, alas.

However, to give at least a partial answer to your SMART question, and
lots of us thank you for asking it, one way of doing that is to Google
groups and enter a query there, as Google archives these newsgroups. One
disadvantage to that is that it often takes several hours for messages
to propagate from the actual newsgroups to the Google site. Another way
might depend on what newsreader you are using; for example, in Mozilla,
I can log on to a given newsgroup and search for a given subject or
poster thereof, etc.
