Patches for today's headline grabbing worm are available
for XP 32-bit and 64-bit versions. How does one tell
which version they're running?

If you have XP Home it is for sure 32bit.
If you have XP Pro..Right click on My Computer and select Properties. If
you see 64-bit in there anywhere u have 64 it it does not say 64 then u have
32.

If you have to ask, it is at least a 99 and 44/100% probability that
you have a 32 bit version.
64 bit versions are rare, because the only run on the expensive new
Intel Itanium 64 bit CPUs
Right-click on My Computer and select Properties. If the bottom
(Computer) section does not say Itanium then you have 32 bit Windows
XP, just like the vast majority of the rest of us.
Good luck

32bit. 64bit version is a specialized XP Pro version and ONLY for a 64bit
CPU.. which would have cost about $4000 just for the CPU.
