Accessing dialup installation

I had to to a reinstall and when completed I no longer had my dialup
access. When I tried to install a dialup account the listing was greyed
out with only broadband access available.

How can I get XP to allow me to install a dialup account?

Have you installed your modem driver?
Does the modem show in Device Manager?
