Yes you can upgrade to Windows XP Pro.
No it is not free.
You do not download it.
You need to buy Windows XP Pro upgrade...about $200 US.

Are you sure you need Pro?
Home and Pro are identical in performance and stability.

The only real differences are ability to join a domain and more
security.
