Yes it is if you want to keep all of your current
files,you can upgrade, the bad part is you are going to
have to buy the upgrade. If I can say the pro edition is
more complex but user friendly. It depends on what
purpose of usage.
Question I would ask myself, Do I really need it,do you
want to implement back-up's to another hard drive. XP
home edition will not let you back up locally,you have to
do it over a remote service. Do you need the use of all
the features of Admin tool's, If you are advanced enough
to not get yourself in trouble and have the bucks to
upgrade then I say do it, If it is only for recreational
use either of just surfing the net and E-mail then stay
with Home, either way XP Home and Pro are great OS. Make
sure you also keep up with the updates they come in
