My home computer was set up so it would automatically log
me on (only user and administrator) all the way to desktop
screen. A recent Windows update changed it would stop at
the Windows XP sign in screen. The Windows XP password
was savinge so it was just a matter of entering on that
screen to go to the desktop. I wanted to go directly to
the desktop again. I went through control panel to a
screen that allowed me to uncheck log in screen. Rather
than doing what I wanted, this action changed from the
Windows XP log on screen to the "traditional" log on
screen. However, the "traditional" screen did not save
the Windows XP password. I created the password when I
loaded the beta edition of Windows XP Pro and have not
used it since and can not locate it. I have the Windows
XP Pro CD, product Key, and authentication tag, but no
password. How do I get logged on again?
