I just recently installed the "recommended" XP service
pack 1a. After installation my, Outlook Express won't
open attachments. I uninstalled it, but that didn't help.
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?

Start Outlook Express.
.. On the Tools menu, click Options.
.. Click the Security tab, click to clear the Do not allow attachments to be
saved or opened that could potentially be a virus check box under Virus
Protection, and then click OK.

A second comment. After every Security Update, go right to Outlook Express
and be sure that same box is unchecked if you want to receive and open
attachments. If you do, be careful.
