Virus Scan gone wrong - restore broke..

i just did a free online virus scan, which after i did
that found out that none of my programs worked on
internet explorer so i tried to do a restore but i cant
get to that either, so can someone help me please? I'm
not a pro at computers sorry.

Hi Thomas,

First, reinstall Internet Explorer, click start/run and copy/paste in this
command:

rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132
%windir%\Inf\ie.inf

As to System Restore, once it's broke all you can do is stop and restart it.
Control Panel/System/System Restore tab, disable it for all drives. Reboot,
then reenable it.
