I received an e-mail with an attached file (smime.p7s) it
seems encrypted or coded. I attempted to open it with
Word, notepad & Adobe reader 6.0,all to no avail.
Under the heading of;
A LITTLE BIT OF KNOWLEDGE WILL GET YOU IN TROUBLE. I
tried to open this file a ended up installing a security
certificate form the sender (Privet Key, Public Key?).
The document still won`t open.
1. What is a smime.p7s ?
2. How do I remove the security Certificate? I can not
find it on my computer.
Feeling not so smart today. BRF

If you don't know what it is. Don't open it!!! That is how you get
virus's. Never open an attachment unless you kknow what it is AND are
expecting it. Many Virus's send themselves using an infected computers
address book. So, Even an attachment from your "Best Friend" is not to be
trusted unless you you know He/She actually sent it themselves.

Also, Don't reply on a Anti-Virus program to catch it. New virus's
are writtten everyday and can slip by before you gt a updated Def file.
An Anti-Virus program can't replace common-sense.
