Xp critical upgrade

On July 14th message stated had several critical updates
to download. After downloads were completed it stated to
restart computer. The computer re-booted, and when got
to the section add my password it started rebooting again
over, and over.
I did a restore back to July13th and every thing is fine,
except when I get other udates from MS same thing happens
again.
Any help would be appreciated.

I was informed by my server today that my machine has a
virus. I ran my Norton antivirus and it came up zero. I
purchased a new Norton Antivirus 2003 and discovered that
it will not load into Windows 95. Is there some way I can
upgrade my system so that this program can be loaded and
used in my computer?
