Hard drive upgrade

I have a Toshiba 4100 Laptop without a CD-Burner or a Network card, So.
What would be my options in istalling another h-disk but being able to keep
my
win XP, all software & settings? Can I copy off using USB port?

As far as I know there are some USB-to-Ethernet adapters for laptops
without network cards. I would ask in a local hardware store for what
options you can use. Also you should decide whether it is worth the
money or if this is not really a good chance to setup a fresh Windows
installation.
