When I run a NT backup script I get a VSS error Event ID 6001
Sqllib error: Cannot create an event due to error 0x80070005.

This only started after applying the latest patches.

I would appreciate some help with this problem,
thank you
Mark

Hi Mark,

Would you please let me know which patch you have applied latest?

And, would you please paste the error log 6001?

Please also check the account to run the backup has the enough permission
to the SQLLIB folder.

Thanks for using Microsoft News Group!

Sincerely,

Steven Liu
