Windows XP

I uninstalled McAfee from my PC today, since then my PC
runs VERY slow, aand will not load programs or connect to
the DSL. I reloaded the XP sotware and nothing changed, I
cannot reload the McAfee sotware because it will not
reload. Any suggestions.
