i've run into this myself. there are a couple of things
you can try.

for starters, make sure your user ID and password are now
the same as they were before. if that does not work, try
logging in as administrator to access those folders.

if that does not work, you can "take ownership" of the
directory. to do so, right click on the folder and click
on properties. the properties window for the folder will
appear. click on the Security tab. then click on the
Advanced button. another box pops up. click on the
owner tab. it will show the owner of the folder. in the
name box, highlight your name and check the box that says
Replace owner on subcontainers and objects. then click
on Apply and then Okay. then the ownership should change
to your account. if you were using encryption, however,
you may be out of luck.
